Foreword from Our Captain

Dear Members

Along with the Women’s Captain we want this year to be one of inclusivity with all the sections working and playing together to drive the club forward.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all Todmorden Golf Club members from all sections to make 2022 the year that they all joined in events provided by the club, whether playing or social.

I urge you to put your name down to play in the section competitions and play some great courses for free.

Rabbit’s competitions are for players with handicaps over 15, to play against clubs home and away, along with the competitive annual Charlestown trophy against Hebden Bridge.

Handicap and Scratch players are needed; although it says scratch you could be playing off 10 to be part of the team.

If you are over 55 you are able to play in the Seniors Section playing in the Lawrence Batley League again home and away matches

You will see from the diary that during the Season we have arranged a competition for most Saturdays and some Sundays, along with Club Open and Invitation days.

If you look in the diary you will see that there is some form of golf being played most days that you can join in.

It’s up to you the more you put into the club the more enjoyment you will get out of it.

I’m hoping to play with most members throughout the year so don’t hesitate to put your name down alongside mine in the Saturday or Midweek competitions.

The club is always looking for volunteers to assist council members in their duties, or help with ideas and organising club activities and social.

Finally I would like to wish the Women’s sections, who are working so hard to encourage new women members to join the club, much success in their endeavours.

Lets hope we all have a memorable year this year

Kindest Regards

Peter Ransom
